PhD student Becca Muir wrote a short comment piece about weight stigma in healthcare for New Scientist magazine after attending a conference on weight stigma in Colorado, US. Weight stigma describes the negative attitudes, discrimination and harmful stereotypes directed towards people in larger bodies.
